Art Photography

I've been lucky enough while in school to focus on and hone my artistic photography skills. I have spent so many hours waiting outside with my camera to capture the perfect moment to express myself through still images.

Punctuated Darkness

Punctuated Darkness was a way for me to slow down and appreciate the light that draws me in and off the road during the night. I have spent countless hours driving between Columbia, Missouri and Arlington Heights, Illinois over the past four years. Constantly entranced by the light emanated from gas stations, businesses, greenhouses, bedroom windows and the like when everything else around is dark. It was time to explore the beacons that I see along the road and capture their beauty.

There are 398.2 miles separating the home that I grew up in and the home I have built at school. These check points along the way cheer me on during the trek and have become homes to me as well.
